ABOUT ME

I am an economist with extensive experience in quantitative analysis, policy analysis, and economic modelling. My primary research interests are in the area of Applied Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, and International Economics.

In my Ph.D. thesis dissertation, I assessed the economic implications of monetary integration initiatives. The main subjects that I explored include the analysis of the economic implications of creating a monetary union in the context of structural heterogeneity, the transmission mechanisms of idiosyncratic shocks within a monetary union, as well as the economic and welfare implications of various policy responses to shocks. Another focus of my research is on understanding the impact of fiscal shocks and commodity price shocks in the context of developing and emerging countries.

I use mainly the Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE), Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) and Vector Autoregressive (VAR) models in my current research.
